We're doing a couple nights of entirely vegetarian Lazy Bear dinners next weekend, Friday and Saturday, May 4 and 5! In addition, for these dinners, we will accommodate any and all other dietary restrictions--veganism, lactose intolerance, allium intolerance, gluten-free(ism)--pretty much everything short of koshering our ovens.

We're keeping the menu a secret for this one, but we promise it will be a great meal for omnivores and veggie-philes alike. Dinner will be 75/person not including tax or gratuity, and it's entirely BYOB. The location will be disclosed after reservation and payment of a deposit, but it's in SF and isn't hard to get to via public transportation. Plan to arrive for Friday's dinner no later than 7:45pm, and Saturday's dinner no later than 7:15pm.

We expect to get fewer than the normal number of requests for these dinners, which means they are a great opportunity to try us out if you've been stuck getting waitlisted. However, we will give slight priority to those parties with dietary restrictions that would normally exclude them from our dinners.

UPDATE: Thanks! Reservations are now closed.

Before filling out the reservation request form, emailing us with questions, or asking why you haven't heard from us, please read all about the Lazy Bear reservation and confirmation process on this page to make sure you know what you're getting into. After you've read that info, <s>you can submit a reservation request for next weekend on our website by clicking here</s> and proceeding to answer the questions VERY CAREFULLY. If you fail to follow directions or fail to provide enough information, your request will probably be ignored. Once you've submitted the form, you do not yet have a reservation! We'll keep the request period open from now through this Thursday, April 26 (11:59pm) (UPDATE: Deadline has passed). At that time, we'll pseudo-randomly select which requests get spots, and notify the first of those parties on Friday. We will continue to offer reservations to parties on a rolling basis as they become available.

Unless and until you are being offered a reservation, you won't hear from us after submitting your request. But there are always cancellations, so even if you don't initially get in, we may contact you later on about open seats. All party sizes have a roughly even chance of getting in initially, but when seats open up later due to cancellations, smaller parties with an even number of guests are much more likely to be offered the spots. Note that guests often miss out on the opportunity to attend because our reservation offer email hits their spam folder. You can avoid that by adding reservations@lazybearsf.com to your trusted senders list.

Hey kiddies, here's what's coming up. We've got dinners next weekend, April 20-21, for which reservations are open now. Two weeks after that, it's Lazy Bear Vegetarian (for which reservations will open up some time next week). Two weeks after that we're collaborating with mixologist Roland Blandy of Mobile Libations for a special dinner paired with cocktails and other beverages.

April 20-21

May 4-5 (vegetarian)

May 18-19 (cocktail/beverage pairings by Roland Blandy)

UPDATE: Reservations are now closed for April 20-21. Thanks!

A tentative menu for next weekend is at right (click to see the full-size version). We always serve lots of items and ingredients that are never on the menu, so don't assume you can leave out dietary restrictions when filling out the reservation request form just because nothing listed on the menu is an issue. Dinner is 85/person not including tax or gratuity, and it's entirely BYOB. The location will be disclosed after reservation and payment of a deposit, but it's in SF and isn't hard to get to. Plan to arrive for Friday's dinner no later than 7:45pm, and Saturday's dinner no later than 7:15pm.

Before filling out the reservation request form, emailing us with questions, or asking why you haven't heard from us, please read all about the Lazy Bear reservation and confirmation process on this page to make sure you know what you're getting into. After you've read that info, <s>you can submit a reservation request</s> for next weekend on our website by clicking here and proceeding to answer the questions VERY CAREFULLY. If you fail to follow directions or fail to provide enough information, your request will probably be ignored. Once you've submitted the form, you do not yet have a reservation! We'll keep the request period open from now through this Friday, April 13 (11:59pm). At that time, we'll pseudo-randomly select which requests get spots, and notify the first of those parties this weekend.
